Mandy began playing the piano at age 8. She received her B.A. in Piano Performance from Agnes Scott College in 2002 and her M.Mus in Piano Pedagogy from Georgia State University in 2006. Her instructors include Nancy Osborn, David D’Ambrosio, and Erica Keithley. She has received a number of awards, including the Emma Baugh and Jay Fuller music scholarships from Agnes Scott, the James Tocco Award from the Atlanta Steinway Society, a Steinway Education Grant through MTNA, and the Piano Teachers’ Guild Scholarship. Mandy's primary background is classical, with additional performance and teaching experience in popular music. She has performed with choirs, bands and musicals, and has provided accompaniment for soloists. Mandy teaches privately in the Midtown area. She was recently president of the Atlanta Music Teachers Association., and directed the chapter’s Musicfest and is their P.R. officer and Certification Chair.
